Yeah, but were those drinks blood? [ dryly. he knows what these people are!! but yeah. he just shrugs. ]

I've been managing but...yeah. They're not as strict as you'd think but it loses its appeal a little.

Nope! No blood of my enemies in any of my drinks. They've got tourists around here too, remember? Of the non-blood drinking variety, even.

[she's into partying but not that kind of partying.]

... Man, that's a bummer. But we're not allowed to stay here, anyway. So maybe the next planet's gonna have more stuff for you and the other kids.

Okay, well, that's a relief. [ thank god for non-blood. ]

We're only here for what, four days? I'm kind of hoping the next planet will have something else to do...and maybe some light. I kind of miss that. [ instead we're going to somewhere cold and with furries, apparently. ]

Please, I miss sunbathing. [she says, despite being straight up #FFFFFF white.] I hope it's somewhere with a beach... Or maybe a lake? Or, ooooh, maybe a nice tourist resort where the locals aren't trying to scam you out of your blood and wallet. Like, man, just pick one or the other.

That feels like a pretty big ask to go straight into the opposite of what we've got now. But I guess a beach really wouldn't be so bad. Anything outside is better than being stuck on the ship anyway.

Hey, if you're gonna dream, dream big! Maybe we'll even get to go somewhere like that in a couple of weeks.

You think? Like maybe the planets will start building off of each other and actually get better the further we go?

I mean, I hope so. There's gotta be a nice beach resort somewhere out there ordering a shitton of alien toiletries to feel extra fancy, right?

I guess we could ask the senior crew what kind of planets they've seen and get a sense, but why do I get the feeling they wouldn't actually tell us...?

They still might. I got Adrastea to tell me a little about some of the deliveries they've made.

Really? What'd they have to say about it?

Not a lot. But they told me about this one time they had to fight off some vulture type creatures in a deep cave recovery mission for a science cruiser, and then another mission where they helped rehome a list of endangered animals to another planet.

So it sounds like they vary. That doesn't really give us a great scope, but that's still good to know.

Well, it lets us know to expect a little bit of Column A, a little bit of Column B... And that we should expect fight our way through our delivery routes sooner or later. You any good in a brawl, kid?

Absolutely not. [ he can be honest about that. ] I've never really had to fight like that before, but...I should probably start learning sooner than later. You seriously think we're going to have to fight our way through?

I mean, it happened to the last crew. Why would the company shy away from throwin' us to the wolves now?

Maybe we should teach ya how to throw a punch, at least...

I wouldn't say no to learning. Even if we aren't fighting our way across planets, I'd...rather be ready if something else happens.
