It's a long story. But the Spark Notes version is that I used to be part of a bat themed group of super hero vigilantes and one of my teammates died. So of course, we buried him. But the night before I got space kidnapped, one of my associates found out that someone dug him up and ran off with the body. And they didn't even take the custom casket! That shit was expensive! Can you believe it?
I'll keep that in mind. She's not always around so a backup's not bad. [ ... ] It's definitely been weird already even just being in school, so I'm not totally sure how working's gonna go.

That's one of the things we're gonna figure out. He's been dead for weeks and he wasn't buried with anything, like, valuable on him. So unless whoever took him is a gross fuckin' creep...

I'd call that a little bit of an understatement. Normal people don't really steal bodies without a plan to use them for...y'know. Nefarious reasons. So hopefully you'll find him soon.
