A lot of freaky shit was trying to kill us the whole time we were there. Like, these really ugly monsters...

[a glance at her hand, but she doesn't ask... yet.]

Shit, man. Where the hell did they send you guys?

Down to some... weird tower? Metis told us there was a hostage situation and got a distress signal from there, so... that's why we went.

... Huh. Did ya find the source of the distress signal?

Yes? And... maybe not. I'm starting to feel like it might've been a trap.

Okay, well... That's a super worrying thing to say. What d'you mean?

So, uh—you know how sometimes on these... let's call them excursions. How people we already know show up in them somehow?

Yeah... We had a few people like that show up in ours last week.

Then you can probably guess who our so-called hostages were.

Nah. I mean, there was definitely some head fuckery happening, but at least we didn't believe they were the real thing.

At least there's that... By the way, did any of you recognize the tower?

Nobody said anything if they did... And I sure as hell never seen anything like it before.
